Tour Plan

Day 1: Aswan Landmarks

We will pick you up at your hotel in Cairo in the morning to take you to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, our guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of the main attractions.

The High Dam: The High Dam, completed in 1960, was a remarkable project that blocked Lake Nasser's floodwaters, powered the region, and significantly reduced flood damage.

The Unfinished Obelisk: The Unfinished Obelisk, commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC), stands at 41.75 meters (137.0 feet) and weighs around 200 African elephants. It is a prominent open-air museum that highlights ancient Egyptian stone carving techniques.

Lunch Meal: Having had a delightful meal in one of Aswan's premier eating places, take the time to look for the likes of:

The "Philae Temple": One of the oldest historical sites from the Ptolemaic era in Egypt is dedicated to the goddess Isis, the mother of Horus, the god of success. Nectanebo I built the sanctuary on Agilkia Island between 380 and 362 BC, and Ptolemy II Philadelphus later expanded it during his reign from 285 to 246 BC.

We'll check in to a five-star hotel in Aswan late in the day and stay the night there.

Day 2: Abu Simbel Temples - Returning to Cairo

Grab some breakfast, check out of the hotel first thing in the morning, and then head to Abu Simbel by car with your tour guide.

Temples of Abu Simbel: The Abu Simbel Temples, built in 1264 BC, grace Egypt's southern border. They honor the gods Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah and include an image of Ramses II. The temples also offer insights into Ozymandias, or "Ramses the Great," who was known for his victory at the Battle of Kadesh and for signing the first peace treaty with the Hittites in 1274 BC.

Lunch Meal: After your tour, you come back to Aswan and eat lunch. Then, you fly to Cairo before you are taken to the hotel.
