You will be aided by a private tour guide to see the most famous attractions of Luxor while receiving transportation from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor.
Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings, notable during the Ancient Egyptian New Kingdom (1570 BC–1050 BC), features 63 royal tombs, including those of pharaohs Ramses II, Hatshepsut, Seti I, and Tutankhamun, along with their families.
Hatshepsut Temple
The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built between 1507 and 1458 BC, honors one of ancient Egypt's most powerful pharaohs and expresses gratitude to the sun god Amun. This architectural marvel features three terraces and serves as the site for the Grand Valley Festival.
Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon, constructed around 1350 BC, are two massive stone statues. They were meant for the mortuary temple of Pharaoh Amenhotep III and were admired by the ancient Greeks and Romans.
Lunch Time
The tour combines sailing on the Nile with lunch on the island. Later, we will visit the east bank.
Karnak Temple
The Karnak Temple Complex is an important ancient Egyptian site, specifically Pr-Imn, the dwelling of Amun, where the Theban triad—Amun, Mut, and Khonsu—is honored. Construction began in the Middle Kingdom and continued until the Greco-Roman period, spanning from 2000 BC to 30 AD and covering 247 acres. The Avenue of Sphinxes is captivating as it leads to the Luxor Temple.
Luxor Temple
The Blessed Luxor Temple, built around 1400 BCE, was a gathering place for celebrations dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. It hosted the Opet Festival to renew the kingship’s power and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
Finally, we will drive you back to your hotel or Nile cruise.
