Tour Plan

DAY 1

Arrival in Cairo. Meet our representative at Cairo International Airport for a seamless arrival. Experience a private transfer to your preferred hotel, check-in and overnight in Cairo.

DAY 2

Join today's optional excursion to Alexandria.* Once the center of the Hellenistic world, and now a bustling port, Alexandria is a city that preserves an air of nostalgia - in its traditional coffee houses and cafes - for the "Alex" of old.

Visit the fascinating Graeco-Roman Sights, explore Egypt's only Roman amphitheater, wander the eerie catacombs at Kom El Shoqafa, discover the site where the Pharos lighthouse (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) once stood, and see the Citadel of Quaetbay - a 15th-century fortress located on the coastline.

DAY 3

Enjoy a full-day guided tour, which will include a visit to the Pyramids - the vast, extraordinary monuments to the ancient Egyptians' wealth and power - watched over by the enigmatic Sphinx. Another highlight will be Grand Egyptian Museum, the Grand Egyptian Museum features an impressive collection showcasing 5,000 years of Ancient Egyptian civilization. Highlights include the Statue of King Ramses II, the Statues of King Senusert, the Grand Staircase, the Victory Column of King Merneptah, and the Hanging Obelisk. Visitors can also explore the royal regalia, Grand Atrium, and Gift Shop, providing a unique glimpse into the ancient world.

DAY 4

Transfer to the airport for the quick flight to Luxor, and board your river cruise - your home for the next seven nights. After lunch on board, head into Luxor to explore Luxor Temple with its columns and courtyards, and the impressive Temple of Karnak, where the immense columns of the giant hypostyle hall amaze visitors.

Later, savor a first dinner on board as your ship spends the night docked in Luxor.

DAY 5

Visit the Valley of the Kings, Colossai of Memnon and Hatshepsut's mortuary Temple.

The Valley of the Kings contains 64 tombs and chambers ranging in size from a simple pit to a complex tomb with over 120 chambers. The amazing Temple of Queen Hatshepsut widely considered one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt" located beneath the cliffs at Deir el Bahari. The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. We set sail to Edfu enjoying a leisurely dinner on board.

Sailing to Edfu after the day of exploration and enjoying a leisurely dinner onboard sounds like a perfect way to wind down and reflect on the incredible sights you've seen throughout the day.

DAY 6

Visit one of the best-preserved Pharaonic relics in Egypt, the impressive Temple of Horus, before returning to the ship and cruising toward the spectacular riverside Temple at Kom Ombo. Explore its hypostyle halls, burial chambers, and see mummified crocodiles. Additionally, visit the twin temple of Pharaohs Sobek and Haroeris. Continue cruising to Aswan, where you'll dock for three nights, providing ample time to explore this captivating city with the iconic backdrop of the Aga Khan's grand mausoleum.

DAY 7

( Optional Tour ) 

Discover some of the highlights in Aswan, such as a visit to the Nubian Museum, showcasing the rich history of one of Africa's oldest civilizations. Alternatively, Optional for a coach excursion to the distant Abu Simbel, where awe-inspiring temples dedicated to Ramses II and the goddess Hathor are intricately carved into the mountainside. Unearthed in the 19th century, these temples and their artifacts rank among Egypt's most extraordinary treasures.

DAY 8

Explore the Philae temple, ancient sight pilgrimage for devotees of the goddess Isis. In the 1960s, the whole temple  was moved to its current location on the Agilkia Island during the flooding caused by the construction of the Aswān dams. Visit the High Dam which was constructed between 1960 and 1970. Its aim was to increase the amount of hydroelectric power, regulate the flooding of the Nile and increase.

After spending time looking at the sanctuaries.

Optional Tour : The Nubian Village in the afternoon. Return to the ship before dinner.

DAY 9

As your river cruiser leisurely sails northward. The day is dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment on board. Take advantage of the ship's amenities, indulge in a refreshing dip in the pool, and bask in the tranquility of the Nile scenery drifting by. The cruise offers a perfect opportunity to unwind and soak in the serene ambiance. dinner and overnight in Edfu.

DAY 10

Continuing your downstream journey, the river cruiser docks for the final night in Luxor. Use this day to further immerse yourself in the ship's leisurely atmosphere. Whether it's lounging on the deck, savoring delicious meals, or taking a leisurely swim, make the most of your time on board. DAY 11

Say goodbye to your cruise ship and your Egyptian hosts, and transfer to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo and your international flight back home
