Giza Pyramids Complex
Giza's lovely pyramids, constructed around 2686–2134 BC, are famous for the Valley Temple, the Esfinge, the giant Sphinx, the fifteen smaller pyramids, and the three sacred pyramids of Giza.
The Great Pyramid
Kufu's Great Pyramid, i.e., the one built in 2600 BC, served as a pyramid stone for the king to rest. Later, it became the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It weighs six million tons in total, reaches an elevation of 147 meters, and includes multiple interior chambers.
The Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx, also known as Horus of the Horizon, is an outstanding portrayal of power and wisdom constituted with the help of the Pharaoh Khafre, the prehistoric ruler who reigned around 2558–2532 BC.
The Valley Temple
The valley temple symbolized the renewal of the mortal bodies of the 4th Dynasty representatives who were climbing up to heaven between 2700 and 2600 BC.
The Grand Egyptian Museum
The Grand Egyptian Museum features an impressive collection showcasing 5,000 years of Ancient Egyptian civilization. Highlights include the Statue of King Ramses II, the Statues of King Senusert, the Grand Staircase, the Victory Column of King Merneptah, and the Hanging Obelisk. Visitors can also explore the royal regalia, Grand Atrium, and Gift Shop, providing a unique glimpse into the ancient world.
Lunch Time
After having lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo, we'll move to Saqqara to visit Saqqara's step pyramid.
Saqqara Step Pyramid
The Saqqara step pyramid is the largest heavy-stone building constructed by King Djoser. Its six steps soar to the heavens and reach a height of 62 meters. It launched the pyramid-building.
Memphis City
Pharaoh Menes founded Memphis in 2925 BC, establishing it as the first capital of ancient Egypt, known for its White Walls. The city became a religious center dedicated to worshiping the god Ptah, particularly in the temple within the citadel, known as the Enclosure of the Ka of Ptah. This connection is reflected in the modern name for Egypt.
Finally, at the end of the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
