Day 2 : day in pyramids & Egyptian museum

Start your day with a good breakfast and hotel checkout in the morning before your personal guide comes with a private trip. The most famous historical landmarks in the world that you should visit during 13 days would be:

The Giza Pyramids Complex

This place was like a time capsule that preserved the essence of the Ancient Egyptians for 4000 years. The Giza complex is surrounded by three large, the most grandiose, pyramids and six little ones, with the grand sphinx and the valley temple.

The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramid, built in 2570 BC, is a remarkable stone structure of 2 million tones. It was completed in just 15 years and is still considered one of the original Seven Wonders of the World. Well-preserved over centuries, it stands at 146.6 meters (481 feet) and is the heaviest object in the world, weighing about 6 million units. It features an impressive King’s Chamber.

The Giza Sphinx

The Great Sphinx—also acknowledged as "Horus, the earth-touching," is magnificent in the fields of Giza and rests quietly on Earth while King Khafre (2558–2532 B.C.) is reigning. This statement calls the Sphinx "Timeless one." It was holding the body of the mythological creature known as the sphinx, which was composed of the lion and man's face. This depicts the king's strength and intelligence.

The Valley Temple

It is a notable example of Egyptian architecture, built for Pharaoh Khafre between 2573 and 2577 BCE. It facilitated the resurrection of mummified kings and queens from the Fourth Dynasty through a ceremonial rite known as the "Opening of the Mouth," which ensured their eternal life.

The Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum features an impressive collection showcasing 5,000 years of Ancient Egyptian civilization. Highlights include the Statue of King Ramses II, the Statues of King Senusert, the Grand Staircase, the Victory Column of King Merneptah, and the Hanging Obelisk. Visitors can also explore the royal regalia, Grand Atrium, and Gift Shop, providing a unique glimpse into the ancient world.

In addition, a VIP ticket is possible, which, if acquired, will allow you admission to unique attractions. Contact us for more information!

Lunch will be catered at the Nile View Restaurant beside the pyramids, and then we will move on to the Egyptian Museum.

The Egyptian Museum

The Big Aswan High Dam is the latest project concerning major sectors like political, economic, and social issues, and it was finished in the mid-fifties of the last century. The construction of this Great Dam generated energy, and it is considered a man-made structure that has changed Egypt's natural landscape in a very short period of time.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The unfinished obelisk is a testament to Queen Hatshepsut's Golden Age (1508-1458 BCE). The Hatshepsut Temple, rising 42 meters and weighing 1,200 tons, showcases exquisite stone-carved and inlaid designs, reflecting the high skill of New Kingdom artisans.

The Philae Temple

The Temple of Philae, dedicated to the astral cult, depicts the myth of Isis, the Mother Goddess and Queen of the Afterlife. Her significant sacrifice was giving birth to Horus, the god of protection. Most of the temple was built between 380 and 362 BC, with further expansions from 282 to 145 BC, supported by Ptolemy II, Ptolemy VI, and Ptolemy V.

These deities are believed to alleviate suffering, dispel negativity and fear, and promote happiness and spiritual upliftment.

The Edfu Temple

The Edfu Temple is one of Egypt's most well-preserved temples. Built between 237 BC and 57 BC, it is dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. The site is said to be where Horus fought his uncle Set.
