Tour Plan
Day 1: Drive to El Minya / Visit Tuna El Gabal
We will plan a morning departure with your Egyptologist, driving you from your Cairo hotel in a deluxe air-conditioned car. The journey to El Minya takes about four hours, after which you'll visit the site where Akhenaton established his metropolis
Lunch Meal: After your delicious meal, having lunch at a famous restaurant will be the next enjoyable moment. After you are ready, you will advance your excursion to Tuna El Gabal.
Tuna El Gabal: This historical archeological site was once a cemetery for the old city of Hermopolis and a center of worship for Thoth, the god of wisdom. The tomb of Petosiris, a devoted priest of Thoth, is the most well-known funeral in the necropolis.
The last thing for the day includes driving to the luxurious 5-star hotel to check in and for the night.
Day 2: Beni Hassan / Tel El Amarna / Returning to Cairo
Start your day with a tasty breakfast. A qualified guide will meet you at the meeting point. You will start the tour at Beni Hassan Tombs.
Beni Hassan Tombs: This burial site is truly phenomenal. The Beni Hassan had governors in El Minya, their burial site in the 11th and 12th dynasties. Along the Nile's eastern bank were the Beni Hassan tombs, seldom heard of in Egypt. These graves are the remains from the Middle Kingdom in the reign of Egypt.
Lunch Meal: We will have lunch at a nearby restaurant and then proceed to Hollywoood-eh, Tel El Amarna.
Tel El Amarna: This is a slightly less well-known site in the Nile Valley. It was built by Pharaoh Akhenaton in 1363 BC to serve as his new capital. In 1363 BC, Akhenaton changed the worship of multiple gods and made all the gods the Egyptians worship as one—Atinit is the sun.
At the end of it all, our representative will shuttle you back to your hotel in Cairo.
